[backdated post]

Today was TSPC. The day where all the awards of the Ministry were given out to the respective holders. Gathered amongst us were Teaching Award holders, Teaching Scholarship(Local), Teaching Scholarship(Overseas), Education Merit Scholarship and Overseas Merit Scholarship(Teaching) scholars. Today was also the day my production will be showcased, the production that all the ministrial overseas scholars took 7 weeks to write, cast, prepare. Yep, it’s something we are mighty proud of, but as the producer, something that’s also worrying me. But I have faith in all of you. Alot of faith.

Even though I was not involved in the presentation. I felt very proud of all my buddies going up there to collect their certificates of appointments. The overseas scholars have grown to become a very tight bunch. We’ve gone through much together, and we’ve have our laughter and pain. The 5 EMS guys were almost clapping our hands off at the back of the hall. We all had our share of the limelight as the 1st batch of EMS scholars in 2003.

The production went very well indeed, much to my relief. I was just worried something might just screw up. Murphy’s Laws, I’ll kick whoever wrote them. We had a pretty lighthearted performance and ended with a nice song written by Ziyang, piano by Laura, and violins by Liangsi and Laura. It was our song.

Nothing much else was interested. Tharman’s speech was….*BORING*. Rather, there were no major policy shifts or whatsoever. Just something about adjunct teachers. We had dinner at NYDC after the presentation. But hell, we were all totally drained.
