complicated simplicity

It’s been nearly a fortnight since I came to London… I haven’t had much time to blog, or call home, or do anything much because I’m still in the process of settling down. It’s been a pretty bad week so far. I’ve had to re-read everything I’ve studied on Thermodynamics in A levels, and quite a bit more than that, and digest it in a single night. But that was during the weekdays. I promised myself before I came to London that I’ll explore as much as I can, and not let myself down. Here below I present 3 albums of photos of places that I’ve managed to explore in these 2 weeks: Imperial College campus photos, Hyde Park photos, and this seaside town called Brighton I went last weekend with the Fellwanderers.

- Imperial College -
Imperial College is what we call a city campus. Imagine..SMU. It was established because there were no prominent university in London at that time. Therefore the Queen was not pleased, and well, she decided by an imperial edict to set up a university within the city grounds, therefore establishing Imperial College. With that, several FACTORY buildings were joined, and used as classrooms. And you have the Imperial College of present, several old factory buildings joined together to make up one of the best universities of the United Kingdom.

- Hyde Park -
Hyde Park in my opinion is one of the world’s most beautiful parks. The wind, the trees, the ambience… You will only understand it if you experienced it.

- The Seven Sisters -
The Seven Sisters is a chalk cliff formation along the south coast near London. Those who have done Geography at O levels will know this. We did a 12mile walk along the cliff formations, going up, down, up, down, up… At the end of it, we hit the pub, topping it off with traditional fish and chips and a pint of good old beer!
