Yes, I’m headed home this Easter. Details are sketchy. I planned to hit Europe in Easter for liasion matters, but plans changed. Going back home to settle quite a couple of official matters, lay the groundwork for the many summer programmes I’ve gotten myself involved in. That’s if all else falls into place as I hope it would.
If not, I’m just going home to visit my mum and my brother. And truly relax for a while. People have been telling me I’ve been on an overdrive. Well, I’ll be on an overdrive for at least another fortnight. Until the dust settles…
I’m headed out for a buffet lunch with Pien later, probably meeting Mel, Alvin and Eunice. We are planning to head to this Singapore restaurant with buffet home food. It’s so Singaporean, buffet + high tea + yummy food. Guess Mel and Alvin’s missing home food, and they invited me and Pien along.
Gavin came over last night and bunked at my place. He called me at 5.30pm, and told me was at King’s Cross. I was thinking, if he’s at King’s Cross in Leicester, why the f*** in the world would he wanna let me know. Then I realised, oh, King’s Cross in LONDON. He came down for the AC Night held in London, and decided to give me a surprise. Boy, was I so so glad and happy to see him. He was my best bud when we served in the army as instructors in BMTC. We quite literally survived thick and thin together under tyrannic CSMs. As we say in the army, ’suck cock buddies, live, eat, die together.’ Anyway, so I picked him up after the dinner, and chatted in my room till wee hours of the night, drinking. It’s been a while, and I really missed having someone to talk to at that level. The buddy level where everything comes and everything goes. No bars, no restrictions, no censorship. Just like talking to Shaz and Jamie. He’s the Singapore Society president in Loughborough University up in Leicester. He left early this morning to rush back for ‘union training’. I’m glad Imperial’s union shuts down on weekends. The Brits are probably hung over.
Due this week: 1 lab report, 4 assignments, 2 proposals, 1 math lab report. Oh boy, I feel screwed. At least it’s not lab week, I get my afternoons to finish these. I hope.
