I’ve hardly had time to rest this weekend, this being the first. I won’t say I was exactly busy, but occupied to say the least.
Gavin came down on Friday night, so we went for supper and pubbed after that. Over pints of beer, life was discussed, spilled and left behind. We took a good walk around London in the bright sunny Sat afternoon the next day, even participated in the protest at Traf. square. I didn’t turn up for the final Rojak rehearsal as publicity for Rojak had come to an end a week before. There was no need for me. Sent Gavin to LSE before heading back with packed lunch for sick Pien. Slept a while, before picking up Gav again for the musical at night.
Musical was good, to say the least. It was something which many people felt close to their hearts. I won’t go into the specifics of the content, but there were many songs with touching lyrics, of love and life. Met some new friends there as well, for example this girl called Lillian who came all the way from Singapore. Well, she came for an interview, but popped in to see the musical. How sweet of her. After the musical, me, Gav and Eda went for pizza under the midnight moon.
We woke up early this morning, with Gavin rushing back to Leicester, and me rushing for a meeting with Jacqueline and Fidel at Leciester Square. We talked about the plans for the associateship for NJ, as well as development plans. Maybe I won’t be travelling much after all, much to my delight. More free time to travel on my own! Cheers. I am even considering to organise an NJ night here in the UK. As Eda says, “You just need the right people with too much time.” Right.
With things like those fixed, I’m flying back on Friday, hopefully. Olivia’s been changing her flight so many times that I bet even SIA and her parents are confused when she’s going home. I’ve given up playing catchup, and probably will not challenge her flight changing supremacy. But I am considering an earlier flight home, maybe on Wednesday? Ponder ponder. Whatever, I need a good break at home. But I will miss people here so much. Maybe the thought of food at home will overcome that! Need to go home and chat with the school admin about some matters, as well as properly settling personal things. I’ve got like 8 weeks to exams after Easter. So I’ll probably bring things home to mug. Learning from Olivia. This is bad. I’m actually starting to regret deciding to go home this Easter. So many people have asked me to join them on trips. But well, some things have to be settled I guess, and I rather not delay. If not I’ll never study in peace. The world will always be there for me!
Considering I’ve been slacking for the weekend, it’s about time to start some work. Math lab, organic tutorial, math tutorials, all due by weds! damn. Can’t they just give us an easy 22nd week of school?!
纸是包不住火。Somethings will always get discovered, that’s the work of the rumour mills and gossip tablers. It’s my way of life. Wwwwwork Wwwwwooork!
