Some people have asked me how come I was MIA-ed (army term for missing in action) for such a long while, both on MSN and the lack of updates on my blog. I’ve been rather busy when I went back to Singapore, mainly out of the house most of the time, settling business matters, as well as alumni matters, giving talks and such. My brother’s usually the only using the computer when I get home, so I’m usually lazy to get my MSN up and running when I’m using, unless it’s early morning. That’s for MSN.

For the blog, there wasn’t much I would like to share, because this trip back, many things I’ve discovered or felt were all very personal. When I left home, everyone told me how much different things would be. No one told me that when I returned, I’ll see things so differently as well. I’ve met many people when I went back, and this time, I saw many of them in different light. Good, and bad. I’ll leave things at that, but it was a time of soul searching. Somethings I asked myself how I saw things in the past, incredulously.

I’m also thinking of shutting down this blogsite. It has been on the cards for a while, and I figured the money I save would be better off funding another site to provide information for the students who want to study overseas. Maybe I will run both, still considering. I thank the approximately 60 people who catch my rant and my banter on this site, some I might know, other I might not.
School’s starting in a couple of days, so I’ve been busy finishing up my reports before the term. Slacked too much at home, but I was forewarned that no one would study when they return. So, no excuses. I’ve got 8 weeks to study for 4 papers, of which 5 of them are term weeks, with the rest as studybreak. Got a long weekend coming up on the first week of term, with monday off. My lecture on Friday is cancelled, so I’ve got a 4 day weekend. Thinking of going up to Loughborough to meet up with Gavin, or maybe to Cambridge to see how Royce is. On the other hand, if Paris is peaceful, I might take the Eurostar there and see if Haz is free to entertain a wanderer.

I’m gonna take this term easy. No funny work commitments, no bunny business. I want my first class, and I’m gonna get it. Relax, play and study. Travel, walk and see the world. It’s all going to be about me, myself and I this term. After the exams, off to Germany to see aunt Ruth and be part of World Cup 2006 - Germany! Then home to teach. I wonder if I would end up teaching back at Anderson. Mrs Lim asked me to return, and I just wondered. Even after my teaching attachment, I will probably go back and teach. I miss some of the kids, and it’s better than slacking at home I guess. But until then, this term’s to study, I must tell myself. Slacked too much, played too much, worked too much in the last 2 terms. This term will be all about me. Right. :)
