I had a dinner with 2nd PermSec(Education) Tan last night, and hell, it was hell. Seriously, I had one of those Mastercard moments in the morning…

Hot water: £1
Flat bottom pan: £15
A well ironed shirt for function: Priceless.

Yes, I tried to iron with hot water and a pan/pot/whatever. Genius ain’t I? Even Pien, Mel, Wingyee and Eda say so. Anyway, it didn’t work out too well, so I wore something else, but I was quite pissed it didn’t work!

Someone caught me on the way out of my room, looking pissed.

But still well dressed in killer-black. Hey, you can’t expect me to meet my bosses like the Director-General of Education and PermSec in crap attire right?

Anyway, I met several new friends like Adrian and Lizhen, and made pretty good talk with DGE and PS. And all in all, it was a boring night, the typical government function. With good food.
