The consumers always end up the big winners in a competition between 2 service providers. Well, almost always.

People who know me will know me as a techjunkie. I run my life on a PDA. I live my life according to the hours on my latop battery. All the information I need is and will always be available at the click of a mouse (or the tap of a stylus).

I’ve been living on Microshit’s Outlook for the past 5 years, using it as an integrated system for my emails, my schedules, my to-do list, and my contact list. Synchronising with my PDA, it’s a blessing that has helped me keep my chaotic life in reasonable order.

Recently, Giggle released it’s own calender. I figured I wanted to try living my life on the net, and I’ve been using Giggle’s Calendar, Mail functions for a while, while doing the same on my Microshit’s calender. Now, that’s confusing when you have 2 calendars, 2 contact list, 2 mail accounts to balance. Therefore after a while, I decided to merge the 2 together and combine my dual life into one. BUT I forgot that Microshit uses a proprietary format, while Giggle uses an open one. So what happens when you try to merge them into one?

Chaos theory. Now I either have to live my life with colliding appointments, or I could MANUALLY DELETE 500 APPOINTMENTS.

Great job… Microshit.

  1. I am speechless. ;P

  2. Don’t you just have a love-hate relationship with the OS? I never liked Outlook. I prefer my schedule book. Sometimes being a bit of a low-tech helps. ^^;
