Belgrade’s another city that’s been through a lot recently, but definately not as bad as Kosovo. The action by NATO was limited to certain areas in the capital of Serbia. Well, they did bomb the Chinese embassy ‘by accident’. Anyway, it was a refreshing change for us because it’s probably the first city-like city that we have encounter along this very long trip. It was Day 8.

Here we saw the world’s largest (and very much uncompleted) Orthodox cathedral. It was so huge that we used it as a landmark wherever we went in the city to find out way around.

For some reason, we met Thomas the train as well. No idea why all three of us got so excited over this locomotive. It was like "THOMAS!" right smack beside the train station.

We also played with an ancient see-saw, or something like a it. Until a police officer screamed us off it across the park. Well, it wasn’t our fault, there wasn’t a sign that said we weren’t supposed to be on it. And well as you can see KR’s riding the wrong way round. :)

And we sat for our first really lovely sunset since our trip. Here you can see my camera’s starting to die on me already. So sad. Oh well, time for an upgrade soon!
