A cappella music is vocal music or singing without instrumental accompaniment, or a piece intended to be performed in this way.

On Sunday I attended a performance by Verve Enharmonics (VnH) at University Cultural Centre. It’s been a long while since I attended any such events in Singapore, the last being an orchestral performance about 2 years back. It was one of the most entertaining evenings since I came back, not that I have had much time to sit back and chill after 5 weeks of work. Anyway, I support local indie stuff, and this is just one of the many way I try my best to support the scenes.

One of the most memorable moments of the performance was when one of their members decided to bring his girlfriend up on stage and serenade to her. So sweet. Obviously the poor girl was flushed. Anyway, it was a concert to thank everyone who was important to them, and it was obvious the group had come a long way since it’s conception a few years ago when they were all in NUS.

I guess life is really about moving on, and remember that for everything that we have succeeded in, there are people behind the scenes who made it happen. You may never feel it, but you will when they are gone. Mums, Dads, Brothers, Sisters, Friends. They may nag, talk and bitch, but without them, we wouldn’t have succeeded, would we?

And moving on..
