Just heard on the news: Odex’s case to have Pacific Internet reveal the identities of it’s subscribers has been throw out by the courts. Nothing yet on the major newswires, but this is from Channel News Asia’s 10pm News Broadcast.

Legally, this is a huge setback for Odex as previous rulings will now come under scrutiny. Awaiting the written judgement will be the best thing to do now for the PacNet case.

  1. I don’t think it will affect the previous rulings. Singnet and Starhub missed the appeal period.

But it is going to make it harder for them to get more IP address.
