I was wandering around the internet, reading some photography materials when I came across the 13 Photographs that Changed the World.

I felt these 13 photographs had anAmerican bias, for and that a couple of other photographs are more deserving of the "changed the world" tag, such as

What else would you have included in your selection of photos that changed the world?

  1. Wow, the photographs (and the accompanying commentary are great). But, yes, of course, there is an American bias as it was done by Americans.

    I would include the photo of the polar bears not being able to find ice in the North Pole and thus drowning … as one of the most pivotal photos that define the moment that we woke up to what we are doing to the earth (global warming).

    Another photo would be that of the devastation in Aceh- and how mother nature will always be more powerful than any man-inspired technology … and that the event also brought the countries together and showed a wonderful side of humanity as well.

  2. Yes i agree with you that the green eye Afghan girl photo is more deserving to be included. The photograhper later took a whole of 10 over years to find her again. Anyway her pic did make it to the top 100 national geo photo. Those piecing eyes of her’s tell tale of the war and environment she was in…
