I have the honor of leading the first expedition of this year, the traditional fresher’s trip up the mountains of the United Kingdom, the grand old dame, Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales situated in Snowdonia National Park. It is one of the most beautiful parts of the UK, only second after the Lakes in my opinion.

My president decided that with the large group of trekkers this year, and the lack of trained seniors, we should reconsider our positions on our hike routes. Being one of the most experienced amongst the non-Brits, he decided to ask me to  help in the expeditions. I will probably consider taking the newbies on the low altitude route, considering the weather forecast foe the weekend’s somewhere in the -4degrees to 4degree region in light fog. I don’t think I wanna bring them into snow on their first trip, might just scare them off. But after some discussion, we settled that we would consider the weather conditions before deciding on the final ascend route.

This is my 3rd time up Mt Snowdon, and if anyone wants to have a look at the views from the top, feel free to catch them here.
