I’ve been an avid photographer for a pretty long while. I started working on film a while back, but got too caught up in the hassle and cost of working on film. Recently I started work on photography again, mainly doing work on a digital canvas and using a digital dark room to process pictures. It’s always great to see your own works of art after all the painstaking effort of framing and designing the shot, and after all the work in the digital workflow to get it to it optimal image.
But a digital piece is always a digital piece. It is never like something you can hold in your hands, or can display on the wall, unless you pay insane prices for those useless digital picture frames. Yes, I do have to admit that even though I have switch to the digital realm, I would really like to have my pictures printed, and to have them hanging somewhere, large and prominent on the walls somewhere. What’s the point of having such beautiful photos and shots if all they are ever going to do is to reside as bit and bytes on a computer’s hard drive, waiting to be erased. It’s about time to print out those precious shots of yours and show their glory to the world. How about Personalised Wall Art from your Photos? There’s this UK based firm which specialised conversion of those photographs into large canvas prints to display them! They really look pretty good. Would you have them all glossy, nice and shiny? Or you would like them like mine, matt, dull, with a touch of nostalgia? I really think it’s up to the individuals, but from my experience, matt pictures and print outs look a lot better in the long run. Hey, I’m sure you want them hanging for a while!
