The MDA said in a statement today that they will allow Singtel to give it’s pay-TV subscribers access to the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera English News Service.

Al-Jazeera is the equivalent of BBC/CNN to the Arab world. It gives a good alternative perspective to the world, compared to CNN which in my opinion is far too American biased, and also to my news staple BBC. Where BBC and CNN gives a much capitalistic view on the world, Al-Jazeera gives a much more balance social view. Remember my previous post on the Malaysian minister disgracing himself? Yep, that was on Al-Jazeera.

I’m not saying they are better.I’m just saying a balanced perspective is better.
