complicated simplicity

I met up with Dr Taylor who’s supervising me for my upcoming literature report today after chasing him down for 2 weeks, and we finally got down to tying down the nitty gritty details of the scope and depth of the report, and this was how it ended.

Prof: 15 pages for background and intro, 25 for current research, that should nicely fit into a 40 page report, ya?

Me (eyes popped, jaw drops) : Eh, 40?

Prof: Yea, that the report specs right?

Me: Eh, no. It was meant to be a 10-15 page report sir.

Prof: Oh fuck.

Gotta love ‘em.
