Apparently Malaysia wants to be nuclear powered by 2023. Straits Times reports that the Malaysian Energy, Water and Communications Minister Shaziman Mansor think that nuclear power is the way to go to avoid the high oil prices.

Ok, just try not to blow up the whole region ok? Pretty please.

  1. It is safe. I think it is a good decision to go nuclear

  2. Nuclear is indeed the best solution out there. But the plant is far too expensive for Malaysia. by 2023 still far ahead from now, I think we should implement it asap instead of 15 years later.

  3. Hmm…Honestly, I think nuclear energy is actually the way to go in solving the world’s energy woes…

That said, I’m worried that some nations(and i’m not going to mention name..lol) would have really poor execution of safety standards and maintenance.

In this, we could be wiped out overnight if they screw up.

  4. the world only has enough uranium reserves to supply a small percentage of the world’s power. i read it in one of the science journals which did an analysis on energy. nuclear power is not sustainable, or viable in the long run..
