In an unsurprising development, Justice Woo Bih Li of the High Court has ruled against Odex in this long running feud with local anime lovers. However in his verbal judgement, he also ruled that the copyright right holders will be allowed access instead, piping a victory for the Odex led lawsuit.

Just heard on the news: Odex’s case to have Pacific Internet reveal the identities of it’s subscribers has been throw out by the courts. Nothing yet on the major newswires, but this is from Channel News Asia’s 10pm News Broadcast. Legally, this is a huge setback for Odex as previous rulings will now come under scrutiny. [...]
